Outline—2 Peter 2:10–22

The apostate

  • denies the Biblical view of life (v. 10)
  • denies what God defines as authority (vv. 10, 11)
  • denies that truth stands on its own (vv. 12, 13)
  • denies that speech and actions must match (v. 13)
  • denies the truth and adds to it, making a lie (v. 14)
  • misrepresents the truth professionally (vv. 15, 16)

Take Home Points

  • We must live the truth and recognize the difference between truth and error.
  • Flee to the truth!
  • Don’t follow the lies of Satan who distorts the truth.
