Your generous gift
Thank you for your desire to help Hanover Baptist Church fulfill God’s will in our community, the state of Virginia, and around the globe. The greatest gift you can give is time in prayer. Each of the ministries below and on our prayer page benefit greatly from the constant prayers of our members and friends around the world.
After commiting time to prayer, you may also support our ministry by giving cash (in person only, please), check (in person or by mail), or Paypal (online).
Donate by check
Writing a check may not be terribly convenient, but you can be sure that 100% of your gift will go to Hanover Baptist Church. Unless you specify otherwise, all monetary gifts go to the general ministry (see below). If you want to support a specific need, please annotate your check.
We hope you can drop off your check personally on Sunday morning because we would really love to see you. But if you are unable to make it, you can mail your check to this address:
Hanover Baptist Church
10312 Hanover Church Road
King George, VA 22485.
Donate byPayPal
PayPal keeps 2.2% of all donations as well as a 30-cent fee for each transation, but you can’t beat the convenience. If you like, you can even set up recurring monthly donations on the PayPal page. (You can stop the recurring payments at any time via your own PayPal account.)
If you want to support multiple projects, please use the general ministry button and include instructions on the PayPal website as to how you want us to allocate your gift.
Your PayPal receipt will be your only donation record when using paypal.
Our current needs—long-term programs
We have a general ministry and several long-term programs. These are continuous efforts lasting at least a year:
- General ministry—all the things needed to operate a church: Pastor’s salary, utility bills, printing, mailing, janitorial services, etc. The general ministry covers every line item in the annual budget such as community outreach, evangelism, mission trips, men’s and ladies’ ministries and guest speakers. Hanover also tithes 10% of the general ministry fund to SBCV for their mission needs.
- Ethnos Ministries—provides missionaries, Bibles, and Christian literature to access-restricted nations. Hanover Baptist Church strongly supports one of their missionary teams through prayer and financial giving.
- Adopt-a-school—lifts up King George county teachers and students in elementary through middle school. Through this well-established program we purchase food and pack it into take-home weekend meals for at-risk children. We work with several other local churches to make sure all our children get healthy meals every weekend. (Need: $200/month during the school year.)
- Operation Christmas Child—Our goal is to prepare 300 shoeboxes at Christmastime, but this program accepts funds throughout the year for the shoebox contents and global shipping. (Need: $5100/year.)
Our current needs—short-term projects
Most short-term projects are scheduled and last for one month, but others fill immediate needs that may come up at any time during the year. The list below will change often:
