The JEWELS have started a new series of events called “Back to Basics.” Tonight Stephanie Weberg gave a presentation on healthy eating. We enjoyed a variety of homemade bread and green smoothies. It was a treat in more ways than one!

Ladies gathered at 5:30 in the Fellowship Hall with an item or two that was gently used or inexpensively purchased and we didn’t mind someone else taking home. The items could have been anything we didn’t need or want anymore: funny, ugly to us, nice but not needed, tired of looking at…you get the idea.

But we started the evening with a surprise house-warming shower for Laurie Klopsis. Then we enjoyed a special time of devotion. We ended the evening with a silent auction on each others’ junque. The evening was full of fun & laughter.

Tonight the JEWELS joined up for a for a “Girls Night Out” at TruLuv’s in Fredericksburg.

The theme for our 9th annual Tea was MUSIC! Two of Hanover’s own were the feature musicians.

A special program of song and worship was presented by Amber French. Amber holds a Masters Degree in Music and has toured nationally with the Bob Jones University Chorale.

Also performing was harpist Stephanie Weberg. Stephanie studies with a former National Symphony Orchestra harpist Jeanne Chalifoux, and has performed locally with the Youth Masterworks Chorus.
