This spring’s lunch was delayed a couple times, but we finally got together today after the morning service. Our youth treated us to some great tacos with all the fixin’s. They did all the cooking, serving, and cleaning up. Thanks to all the young people involved for a great meal, but even more for your good example of loving service.

Following the morning service we had a delightful meal. The children enjoyed a special time of crafting by making a variety of Nativity scenes. After the craft time, Pastor Crookshank gathered the youth into a circle and told them the story of the Nativity.
White Elephant Gift Exchange
Dec 13th, 2014 / Koinonia
Tonight the adults convened at the Halpin home for this much-celebrated meal and gift exchange. We kept to hors d’oeuvres and desserts to maximize our fun time with the wacky gifts. Though no one received a weed whacker tonight, there were plenty of recycled Christmas ornaments, new surprises, and an unabridged Swiss Army knife that the recipient is still discovering uses for.
Tonight we celebrated Thanksgiving with a telling story of the Pilgrim’s long journey to the new world. We also enjoyed pies, cookies, mac & cheese and other delicious offerings.
Fall Campfire
Oct 10th, 2014 / Koinonia
Well, it wasn’t ideal weather for a campfire tonight, but the men gathered ahead of time to set up canopies that kept us and the victuals dry. The campfire is a greatly anticipated event every fall. We enjoyed hotdogs, chips, and s’mores (with the biggest marshmallows I’ve ever seen). Brandon managed to get a nice fire going, but we huddled under the canopies, talking, until the gentle rain finally relented. Then we drew our chairs close to the fire and enjoyed cooking our dogs and soaking up the warmth.
