Family Campout

Actually, it was more like a camp-in. Some rain and continued threatening weather kept us inside most of the night, but we had fun nonetheless. We still had traditional campout victuals and Bob Halpin brought along a Lone Ranger movie (the campout coincided with the men’s monthly western night). There were many board games to play, too. Several families stayed overnight allowing a marathon Risk session.

We enjoyed Saturday morning breakfast at the church followed by a target shooting excursion.

This morning Hanover men brought along their sons and daughters for a very special breakfast. In conjunction with the breakfast, our own Brandon Foster, a law enforcement professional, taught a self-defense class.

Church Picnic

The picnics are a summer tradition at Hanover. The Lord provided a perfect day for great fellowship, grilled goodies and games.

JEWELS Social

Have you ever been to a pocketbook exchange? I think it was new to all of us ladies and girls. Everyone brought in an unneeded purse, some of us digging deep into our closets (or under our beds) for one or two we could part with. At the end, most of us had a “new” purse for that special occasion.

This morning we hosted our annual yard sale along with a church work day. Sales were good, and we enjoyed visiting with the shoppers. We even managed to get a lot of work done around Hanover on this beautiful day.
