Our loving and hard-working youth hosted a taco dinner following the morning service. As usual, we had a wonderful time of fellowship, and the youth did all the work, from serving to cleaning up!

Adult Fellowship

Tonight many of Hanover’s adults enjoyed a great meal and fellowship at the home of Mike and Heather Gaffney.

Today, several Hanover ladies were blessed at the SBCV-sponsored Women’s Ministry Conference (see video) themed “The Titus 2 Model: Women of All Ages Mentoring Women of All Ages.” Our own Betsy Crookshank was one the the seminar leaders, speaking on hospitality. Who exhibits hospitality better than Betsy?

The conference was held at Ramoth Baptist Church in Stafford, Va. If you missed this wonderful opportunity to be engaged, equipped and encouraged, be sure to visit the SBCV website for other conference dates and locations.

Talent Night

Tonight we had a full docket of talented Hanover individuals and groups amuse and entertain us. Among the creatively gifted were artists, singers, musicians, photographers, poets, storytellers, leatherworkers, and woodturners.

Wrapping up the evening, Charles Carter put together a display of old car photos and tasked us with guessing who owned each car “back in the day.” Charles shared his considerable automotive knowledge as he described the salient features or historical whimsies of each vehicle. It is hard to say if that knowledge helped us match up Hanoverian with their cars, but when we did get them together we learned more about each other, too.
