This afternoon we all gathered in the fellowship hall for a wonderful time sharing homemade food, stories, and our love for Pastor Rick and his wife Betsy. We are so grateful for their loving service in King George.

History Tour

This morning Brandon Foster led a small group to the Spottsylvania Courthouse battlefield to learn a little about local history and what God has done to preserve our nation and our freedom.

Work Day

The Virginia Department of Highways mowed the berms on Hanover Church Road and exposed all the litter that had accumulated there over the past year. This morning we got together to clean things up a bit. Many hands made it light work.

Once again we invited our members, friends, and neighbors to set up in the church parking lot for a Saturday morning sale. It was another great year with plenty of sales and camaraderie. We’re grateful to all the shoppers who stopped by whether they made a purchase or engaged in conversation.

Tonight we shared a wonderful array of berry-themed treats: homemade strawberry ice cream, blueberry compote, fresh-picked strawberries, strawberry shortcake, a delightful fruit tart and strawberry pie. It was absolutely necessary to sample every one!

While we enjoyed the berry-ness, we discussed our new mission statement/motto: Real people of real faith, meeting real needs. We looked at the three sections of the motto and scripture that will guide us in each of those areas. It was a great blessing as we continue to move forward serving the Lord.
